Doug Thorpe
From the military to the boardroom, Doug Thorpe has served in numerous leadership roles.
Doug is a former banker with JPM Chase, national consultant, and is the founder of 5 different businesses.
Since 2008 he has been an executive coach and mentor to hundreds of business leaders, guiding and shaping their climb to becoming better servant leaders.
In addition to being an exit planning advisor for Rich Hall Group, Doug is the lead integrator for recently acquired businesses through Acquira.
My Story
In my current role as Founder, President, and CEO of HeadwayExec LLC, I work closely with executive clients around the globe to help individuals develop advanced leadership skills. I have leveraged my own executive coach training to create and implement effective leadership development programs and advisory services for business owners and senior leadership teams.
I also spend time working with small business owners, helping them navigate the growth of their companies. Using a simple 4-part framework I call the Game Changer Blueprint, I help owners tackle issues with People, Processes, Products, and Performance. Master all four and you will have a great business.
In addition, I’ve written multiple books.

I also wrote, “STRIVE for Job Search Success“. It chronicles the highly successful job search program I created while serving as Executive Director of JMS.

I co-authored book “Trust at Work” the cornerstone message for Trust Builders wanting to create a culture of trust within their organizations.

In 2023 I released “The Exit Strategy Handbook: Essential Advice for Business Owners” a guide for owners/founders who want to optimize the value oof their business before making an exit.
I also author an active leadership blog with over 700 articles. I'm the host of the popular podcast “Leadership Powered by Common Sense” heard on all streaming platforms and featured in video on YouTube, followed by over 200,000. The show is rated in the top 2% of business shows on Apple podcasts.
